How bizarre you mention the Amiga, I was playing dune 2 on Winuae the other day.mixed in with some megalomania and some desert strike, though granted I was emulating the a1200 so it ran a little faster than my a500 ran it :p I never actually played Dune 1. (of course I am sure since I have played it loads since its initial release, some issues some people will have with the game, I possibly unconsciously overlook or just do not notice as such). In some ways I still think it looks more than fine, again I dont think it needs a remake (maybe a small patch to fix the odd issue). I played far cry through again last year I still enjoyed it. I was wondering how i even could have played and liked it back then. I liked Dune - The fight for Arrakis back then, switched on my Amiga and said: Hell no.
If its not crap compared to todays sometimes better standarts why you want a remake? And some other companies show how easy it is to influence those no matter the produkt.
